The Role 

This is a dynamic and pivotal role for a highly motivated and independent individual eager to become an Xfuze “super user”, capable of delivering end-to-end, data-driven solutions for our clients.

This is a key role for us, and our future Implementation Engineer will be instrumental in shaping and delivering impactful outcomes for our customers. You’ll work with our clients from initial requirements gathering, perform in-depth business analysis, to data integration, and configure the platform. You’ll directly contribute to client success by leveraging your strong communication, analytical, and technical skills.

The Senior Implementation Engineer will likely have a background in data, strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead others. This role will suit someone driven by business outcomes, solving complex problems and delivering end-to-end.

This role will not fit someone with a primary focus on software development, data engineering or creating bespoke solutions.

Ideally, you have already worked on a data platform in a professional services team and have a track record of delivering successful projects. Technical expertise in all areas is not required, but willingness to learn and flexibility are key.

• Leadership and delivery – own the solution implementation, deployment and lead the team end-to-end. Must be focused on the delivery of quality solutions.

• Product implementation – become an Xfuze expert across all domains: connectors, data, models, insights, etc.

• Consulting and client – guide the client and the solution delivery with a consulting mindset to achieve project success, meeting milestones and objectives

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the technical team and the implementation of the solution (with the support of solution architects and other team members)

• Own the environment, releases, supportability and fit for operations end-to-end. Take responsibility for the solution.

• Active role in estimating and supporting the delivery leads and Product Owners to drive the projects to completion

• Guide the engineers and other team members, help them to grow and leverage Xfuze features.

Product Implementation

As an Xfuze super-user, you will be configuring, extending, deploying, testing and validating solutions end to end for our customers:

• Data analysis – exploration, testing, and validation, while interacting with the client to understand their needs and use cases.

• Xfuze implementation design – designing the implementation, which describes how to leverage Xfuze, alongside the solutions architects using standard templates.

• Configure pre-built connectors  – creating integrations with 3rd parties such as. Shopify, Akeneo, Bloomreach, Optimove, etc

• Set up Xfuze workflows to process and transform data

• Custom transforms – writing small code snippets to transform data

• Data mapping – configure, extend and map the data using Xfuze

• Configure, extend or create Xfuze BI dashboards with PowerBI, Tableau or equivalent on top of Xfuze data layers. This can be learnt once in the role.

• Testing and validation – supporting QAs in testing the implementations.

Consulting & Client

• Work with our clients to analyse data-driven business processes, check the data, and design solutions.

• Produce documentation and training guides for other Implementation Engineers.

• Advise on the best approach to leverage the Xfuze platform and achieve high-quality solutions

Your Knowledge & Experience

Must have

• Leadership –  Independent. Driven. Get things done. Must be a self starter happy to take responsibility and accountability.

•  Communication – Very strong written and verbal. Comfortable in front of a client with good situational client awareness.

Should have

• Business Analysis & Design – Capture requirements, understand use cases and translate into solutions.

• Data modelling, transformation –  Data modelling knowledge and ability to design or extend data models.

• Programming and software engineering – Python or equivalent at a competent level to write small functions and plugins.

• Databases and SQL – Confident with SQL at an intermediate level.

• Cloud – Should be familiar with at least one cloud

Nice to have

• BI and dashboarding –  PowerBI or similar required, or ability to learn quickly

• Domain knowledge – Retail preferred. Should know at least one complex domain.

• Technical understanding – Good technical understanding of modern architectures and leading data platforms

• Integration and data warehousing –  Have used a platform and configured it to create complete solutions for customers. Preferably, you would have experience with Boomi, Mulesoft or another integration platform.
